MADISON (January 22, 2007) – The American Red Cross Blood Services Badger-Hawkeye Region has moved its eastside location. The new American Red Cross Madison East Blood Donation Center is located at 2109 Zeier Road near East Towne Mall. The public is invited to visit during the Open House on Friday, January 26, 2007 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Join Red Cross employees, donors and community members for an afternoon of good spirits, free food and great giveaways. This Open House allows the community to see the new facility, as well as an opportunity to understand the blood donation process a bit more. It’s a wonderful chance for first-time donors to see what blood donation is all about and to inform people all about the Red Cross mission to save lives.

The East Blood Donation Center also offers donors the chance to give blood, plasma and platelets through automated technologies. While automated donations take a little more time than typical whole blood donation processes, they are just as important, allowing donors to give more than one product at the time. of donation. Donation requirements may be different than a whole blood donation. Learn more about automated technologies during the Open House.

The new blood donation center is located near the East Towne Mall, Babies-R-US, Gander Mountain, Burlington Coat Factory and many more stores. The Red Cross looks forward to providing convenient and ample opportunities for blood donors to give the gift of life to those in need.
